Some new work
I stretched seven canvases last week and have painted on five of them now. Should have stretched more. The two images above are progress shots of paintings of the desert between Joshua Tree and Hwy 395. The top one is 28"x42" and will be the first in a series of three. The bottom one is about 18"x24".

Two new little paintings
Finished these a few weeks ago. The images are from two trips to Point Reyes. The first is a still from a flip video shot through a scope of elephant seals on Drakes Beach. The second is a stream on the sand at Kehoe Beach. Seals is about 12"x18". Stream is 14"x20". Both are oil on canvas.

No black ink
I printed some night shots of a coyote we saw in the Headlands for use as reference, but the printer had run out of black ink. I ended up with these strange coyote-like creatures in sort of photo negative environments. Here are process shots from a few painting session.

Visual Aid Spring Art Auction
I have a small painting in the Visual Aid spring auction. "Epson Clouds" is oil on canvas and 12"x18". It's based on an image run through our old printer. The printer produced the streaks, imperfections, and extra atmosphere. Info on the auction below.
