The start of another new little painting. I get nervous when I don't have at least a few paintings in the beginnings stages where I can experiment a little.

Little Painting

Just started this little painting this morning. I think I will keep it fairly minimal and just add a bit more detail to the girl on the right. The image is from a video I shot in Death Valley. Oil on canvas. 21"x29".

Progress

The cloud is finished! The colors are better than in the photo.

Progress on the big Tallinn painting. It WILL be finished by the end of May.

Progress on the Death Valley painting. The bottom image is my palette the day I painted the sun flares. Not my usual colors. Still lots of work to do on this one.

Death Valley

Badwater Basin

Just started this yesterday. It's 4'x6'.
